“Let’s Go Scooping” on Next “HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER”

•• On the next episode of ABC’s HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER titled “Let’s Get to Scooping” – Annalise and her students uncover a shocking truth while investigating the case of Marren Trudeau (Elizabeth Perkins), founder and CEO of a major brokerage firm, who has recently been arrested for insider trading. Meanwhile, Wes discovers a cell phone hidden by Rebecca whose contents reveal an unsettling clue in the Lila Stangard murder case.

•• If you’ve not yet managed to catch Shonda Rhimes’ latest creation “How To Get Away With Murder“, you’re missing out big time. Rhimes, who also created big US TV hits in Scandal and Greys Anatomy has done it once again, with Viola Davis as the lead character. The series has done seriously well in terms of ratings for such a new show debuting to 14 million viewers live, providing that right level of potential character progression and edge of your seat drama.

Ahead of upcoming episodes of the ABC show, it has been confirmed that Elizabeth Perkins will appear in the series as a client of Annalise’s, with the show often following a ‘case of the week’ style format.

Elizabewth Perkins is set to play a character named Marren Trudeau, who is reportedly very high profiled, so the pressure will on for Annalise and her team to get her client off scott free. Also to appear alongside Elizabeth Perkins will be Sara Paxton as a woman who works for Marren, while Niko Pepaj from Awkward will play Marren’s assistant.

•• Elizabeth Perkins has landed a guest-starring role on “How to Get Away with Murder”. Elizabeth Perkins will play Marren Trudeau, a high-profiled client whom Annalise (Viola Davis) will represent during an upcoming case-of-the-week. Additionally, Sara Paxton (The Beautiful Life) will guest-star as a woman who works for Marren, while Niko Pepaj (Bunheads, Awkward) will play Marren’s assistant.

Elizabeth Perkins’ casting brings her back to ABC after starring on the network’s short-lived comedy “How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)”. The trio will appear in an episode slated for October 16th. The show airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

Elizabeth Perkins, Donald Sumpter play her UK parents. SundanceTV will air the four-hour mini, which it acquired in the spring, on November 28 & 29. •• SundanceTV announced today that Elizabeth Perkins and Donald Sumpter have joined the cast of One Child, a co-produced, new original scripted mini-series. The four-hour series penned by Guy Hibbert (Complicit, Five Minutes of Heaven) and starring Katie Leung (Harry Potter) is currently in production in London and Hong Kong and will air in late 2014. One Child crosses the world as a Chinese-born young woman adopted by British parents must struggle with who she really is in order to decide where her loyalty lies.

Emmy nominated actress Elizabeth Perkins, known for her role on acclaimed series Weeds and Donald Sumpter (Game of Thrones, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) will play Katherine and Jim Arthurton, adoptive parents of Mei (Leung). Mei a first-born Chinese girl adopted by English parents who gets called back to Guangzhou when her birth mother desperately seeks her assistance in saving her son. But how far will Mei go to help the woman who gave her away and the brother she’s never met?  ONE CHILD takes a new look at what it means to be family.

One Child will be executive produced by Hilary Salmon for BBC Productions. The project is a BBC Drama production for BBC Two and is co-produced with SundanceTV and is distributed by BBC Worldwide North America.
