Elizabeth Perkins to Guest Star on “The Closer”

Elizabeth Perkins will guest star in The Closer as the wife of the LAPD Police Commissioner in an episode airing on Monday, December 19th. Elizabeth’s character, Gail Meyers, gets into some serious trouble when she tries to cover up a potential scandal. Gail’s husband is played by the great Mark Moses, better known as Paul Young from Desperate Housewives. And look who else is joining the star-studded episode titled “Road Block”– Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Maggie Wheeler, who will play Gail’s friend who is interrogated by Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick).

The Closer returns Monday, Nov. 28 at 9/8c on TNT.

  1. Dear Miss Perkins:

I am writing on behalf of the SPCA of Upstate New York, (the largest No-Kill animal shelter north of New York City since 1959). We are a private, non-profit animal shelter, which does not receive federal, state or local funding, but relies on individual and business donations, gifts and special events to fund our needs.

An auction event is to be held in the spring of 2012 at the Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, New York (www.universalpreservationhall.org) to benefit our homeless animals. This will help us provide much needed veterinary care, pet food, medical supplies, cleaning supplies, towels, blankets, etc. for the animals while we find them new homes.

As the fundraising/special events coordinator, I am asking if you would please consider sending our animal shelter any autographed special item of particular interest, or perhaps an autographed photo to be auctioned off in an effort to raise funds to benefit our homeless animals. Should you choose to send us an item donation, I have listed our fundraising address at the bottom of this letter for your convenience, and thank you.

If you should request further information regarding the auction event, I would be happy to answer any questions or send you more details as they develop. You may also visit our website at http://www.spcauny.org. There, you will find more information about our organization, and the services we provide for homeless pets, and for those members of our community with pets in need.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, as I am sure you are very busy with requests and mail from other fans. You are admired and respected as an actress and a person, and your time and consideration are greatly appreciated. I would personally like to thank you in advance for your participation in helping us raise necessary funds to support our animal shelter.

    Respectfully yours,
