Elizabeth Perkins to co-star In TNT’s drug-trade pilot
•• Great News for all her fans. Weeds alumna Elizabeth Perkins has been tapped for a co-starring role on TNT’s Untitled Miami Project from Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay. Written by Masters Of Sex creator/executive producer Michelle Ashford, the serialized character drama is set in the wild and unpredictable world of the Florida drug trade in the 1970s. Perkins will play Josephine “Jojo” Nickel, all peroxide and cleavage with a penchant for gambling at the dog track, who raised her son, Bobby as a single mother. A true local with deeply Southern roots, Jojo now has her own ambitions: Bobby’s father-in-law, Corwin. Perkins, whose role on Showtime’s Weeds earned her three Emmy nominations, is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment.
